About Us

Towers Business Development Pty Ltd is a company directed and managed by Peter Towers.


Peter is an accountant, company director, consultant and coach with a wide variety of business experience including Chief Financil Officer/Company Secretary of a listed public company, principal of an accounting business, business adviser for a major Australian government program, business consultant.

Peter's credentials are:-

  • Fellow - Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants
  • Fellow - Australian Institute of Company Directors
  • Member - Institute of Management Consultants

Career includes 23 years as a principal of an accountancy practice, 10 years in commerce (6 years of which were as Chief Financial Officer/Company Secretary of a listed public company) and 12 years as a Business Consultant (10 years of which performing a contract role as Business Adviser for the Australian government's COMET (Commercialising Emerging Technology) Program from 2001 until May 2010, when the COMET Programme ceased).

Mentoring Skills:

Peter performed a contract role as Business Adviser for the Australian government's COMET (Commercialising Emerging Technology) Program.  This role required Peter to act in a mentoring advisory capacity for businesses which had developed new technologies and were seeking advice on getting their business "investment ready" so they could try to attract investment capital.

JENNY NYE - Executive Assistant/Office Manager

Jenny is the Executive Assistant/Office Manager to Peter Towers. The majority of Jenny's working career (approximately 35 years) has been as a Secretary in Accountancy Offices in Townsville, North Queensland wherein she has gained considerable experience in the operations and overall requirements in the running of a Professional Practice.


We will work in conjunction with other consultants with specific expertise required for a Client including:-
