COMET (Commercialising Emerging Technologies) Programme is an Australian Government Programme, administered by AusIndustry, designed to assist individuals, early stage companies and spin offs to become equity ready. The programme assists businesses that have the potential to offer great returns but which, in their current format, are considered not "investment ready" by the venture/seed capital market. If approved, COMET clients can obtain up to $120,000 in financial support for professional work to be undertaken to "get them investment ready" - average financial support is approximately $64,000 (on an 80% basis).
AusIndustry has appointed Towers Business Development Pty Ltd as the COMET Business Adviser for Central & North Queensland and Northern Territory. The program assists companies with emerging technology to get themselves "investment ready" and then to assist with raising equity capital.
